Teleskope

Elkeen van ons vyf sterrewagte is toegerus met 'n telescopen van die Ritchey-Chretien ontwerp wie se primêre spieël het 'n deursnee van 0,5-meter. Terwyl dit is kleiner as die grootste teleskope in werking vandag veel wetenskap kan bereik word met sulke telescopen soos hullen is toegewyde en voortdurend aan ons beskikbaar vir die monitering van ons verskillende teikens. Hoe groter die invordering van oppervlakte van 'n teleskoop, die meer lig dit kan versamel in 'n gegewe tyd, sodat die meer sensitiewe is die ontdekkingen wat gemaak kan word. Te help vergoed vir die kleiner spieël deursnee en help met die inzameling die flou seine wat ons soek, ons teleskoop spieëls het 'n spesiale hoë reflektiwiteit coatings te weerspieël tot ~ 97% van die lig. die reflektiwiteit van spieëls sonder so 'n spesiale coatings is slegs ~ 88%. die spieëls van die teleskoop op ons nuutste sterrewag (GJW-WA) in die Wes-Australië, is veral bedek deur Orion Optics UK so 'n hoë hê reflektansie. Die teleskoop self is verskaf deur Alluna Optics in Duitsland en ons is baie tevrede met sy prestasie.
