The Global Jet Watch discovers that jets are launched following classical nova explosions

Date: 2021/06/11

A classical nova exploded during the pandemic lockdown of July 2020, which the Global Jet Watch followed round-the-clock, round-the-world.  Our spectroscopic analysis shows that this classical nova, together with all the other classical novae that we have followed, launch oppositely-directed jets in the immediate.   These data were entirely obtained from the Global Jet Watch observatories (multi-longitude telescopes in schools).

The jets in the July 2020 nova, persist for months after they are first launched, and they also precess in direction.

Applying the same analysis techniques to other classical nova explosions that the Global Jet Watch has followed revealed the exact same phenomenon: jets are launched following the detonation of classical novae.
